College - save_that_tree Printer Configuration

Introduction

The save_that_tree virtual printer can be reached from the H-FARM network.
You can send documents from your device and collect them by logging in to the physical printer located in the Library.
Below are the instructions for configuration and printing.
You can check your credit by logging into the Printing H-Farm website.

Installation

To use the printing system, you MUST be connected to the H-FARM network

To install the save_that_tree printer, simply add it from System Preferences.
Operation to be performed the first time only





Print sending

To use the printing system, you MUST be connected to the H-FARM network

MacOS

  1. From the print screen select save_that_tree and confirm
  2. Authenticate the printout with your H-Account credentials
You can set the flag to "Remember password in keychain" so that you don't have to re-enter your credentials in the future



iOS

  1. Select the Share icon
  2. Select Print and immediately after the save_that_tree printer (or save_that_tree_landscape to force the prints horizontally)
  3. Confirm the printing by entering the credentials in the popup that will appear.

Windows

Software Download:  Download

Badge Association

Operation to be performed only the first time
  1. Bring your badge close to the printer

  2. Enter the credentials of your H-Account

  3. Confirm the association

  4. Perform a login test by holding the badge



Print Release

  1. Log in to the printer with your credentials or with a badge
  2. Select Print Release
  3. Select the file e confirm with Print
